![]() ![]() What Winnacker did here was great – they’re not your normal zombie. ![]() There were a few other issues I had with this one but over all, I enjoyed it and I think a lot of the YA market will, too.Įven though this book is about “The Weepers”, we don’t see them very often – not nearly enough so for my taste. Review: While it’s not the most original of apocalyptic stories at its core (zombie-like creatures taking over after a pandemic), Winnacker adds some very interesting elements to her plot in “The Other Life” to the point where I definitely do want to read that next book. When Sherry’s dad is snatched, she joins forces with gorgeous but troubled Joshua – an Avenger, determined to destroy the Weepers.īut can Sherry keep her family and Joshua safe, when his desire for vengeance threatens them all? There they find a world of devastation, desolation…and the Weepers: savage, mutant killers. But when they run out of food, Sherry and her dad must venture outside. ![]() Sherry has lived with her family in a sealed bunker since things went wrong up above. 98,409,602 seconds since the heavy, steel door had fallen shut and sealed us off from the world. ![]() Summary: 3 years, 1 month, 1 week and 6 days since I’d seen daylight. Genre: YA, post-apocalyptic/dystopian, sci-fi ![]()
